His release was confirmed by the state police spokesperson, Ajayi Okesanmi, in a statement released on Thursday December 16. Erubu was released days after his abductors demanded a ransom of N60m from his family. The police spokesman said the doctors release was facilitated by the community, security stakeholders, vigilantes and hunters.
