[QUOTE="Delicious, post: 2536, member: 178"] Three masons have been arraigned before an Ile-Ife Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing their employer’s N2.53 million. The accused persons are; Mujidat Omoloye, 22, Kehinde Oke, 45 and Hammed Oke, 43. The trio allegedly committed the offence between January and August 2021. The Prosecutor, Inspector Sunday Osanyintuyi told the court that the accused persons allegedly converted their employer’s N2,532,000 to their personal use. He said the money was sales made between January and August in 2021 by the block industry. The offence committed contravened sections 390 (9) and 516 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Osun, 2002. The accused persons, however, pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge of conspiracy and theft. The Defence Counsel, Wole Omotosho, prayed the court to grant the accused persons bail in most liberal terms, pledging that his clients would not jump bail, but would provide reliable sureties. Magistrate Adewumi Oyebadejo granted bail to the accused persons in the sum of N250,000 each with two sureties in like sum. Oyebadejo said that the sureties must swear to an affidavit of means and they must reside within the court jurisdiction as well as produce three recent passport photographs each. The case was adjourned till September 29, for hearing.
