The suspect identified simply as Remos, a 23-year-old resident of Sheno Belta village in Gombi Local Government Area, was arrested during a stop-and-search operation. Remos was reportedly on his way to distribute the weapons to his collaborators when he was arrested.  The state Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Nguroje said; “The achievement was made by the Command’s operatives attached to Gombi Division in a joint operation with Hunters.“The suspect, being a notorious gun dealer, bought and smuggled in the weapons from Askira Uba local government area of Borno State."
