You also need to have performed a considerable number of transactions using the app after which you can now proceed to get the POS.</p><p></p><h2><strong>How to Request an OPay POS Machine</strong></h2><p>There are basically three major steps you have to follow for you to make this request, they are outlined below:</p><h3><strong>Upgrade Your KYC to Level 3</strong></h3><p>This is the first step you need to take out of the three. On the OPay app, you have to upgrade your KYC to Merchant Level 3 by following the steps below:</p><ul> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">On the OPay app, go to “<strong>Me</strong>” to access your profile.</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">Tap on the picture profile account and go to “<strong>Account Details</strong>”.</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">Click on “<strong>Upgrade to Level 3</strong>”.</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">For you to move to level 3, you now have to upload your picture, a recognised government ID (Voter’s Card, Driver’s Licence, National ID or an International Passport), and a recent utility bill (PHCN bill, LAWMA bill or Water bill).</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">Add your BVN.</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">Click on Submit.</li> </ul><p>After your submission, the OPay team will now verify your documents in order to approve your upgrade.</p><h3><strong>Switching Profile to Merchant</strong></h3><p>Now that you have upgraded to Level 3, the next thing to do is to proceed to switch to “Merchant”.</p><ul> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">On the OPay app, go to “<strong>Me</strong>” to access your profile.</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">Tap on the picture profile account and go to “<strong>Account Details</strong>”.</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">Click on “<strong>Upgrade to Merchant</strong>.”</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">Enter your business information and fill all required information.</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">Click on upgrade.</li> </ul><p>After your submission, the OPay team will now verify your documents in order to approve your upgrade.</p><p></p><h3><strong>Merchant Application</strong></h3><p>Now that you have upgraded to Merchant, the next thing to do is to proceed to “Merchant Apply”.</p><ul> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">Open the OPay app and go to “<strong>Merchant Apply</strong>”.</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">Fill the form shown to you with the required information.</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">Upload your last 3 months transaction history.</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">Upload a recognised government ID.</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">It is expected you have setup a business centre for you to want an OPay POS.
