Message: <blockquote data-quote="Parrot" data-source="post: 413" data-attributes="member: 26">[ATTACH=full]112[/ATTACH]<h2>The leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has vowed that the efforts by the Nigerian Army to stop the agitation for Biafra Nation would be unsuccessful.</h2>Naija News reports that the Nigerian Army and other security agencies have several times clashed with the IPOB members in South-East and South-South leading to the death of scores.The Eastern Security Network (ESN) which was initially established by Nnamdi Kanu to curb the farmer and herdsmen crisis in the region have been accused of launching attacks on security operatives in the two regions.This has led the Nigerian Army to send reinforcement from some of its formations fighting insurgency in Borno State to join the troops in the South-East region.It was gathered that the reinforcements were drawn from some battalions including the 231 Tank Battalion in Biu, Borno State, under the 3 Armoured Division, Jos, Plateau State.Military sources said the troops were drafted to assist security agencies in fighting with IPOB and its security arm, the ESN.“Yes, some troops are moving from the North-East to the South-East as reinforcements. They started moving from Wednesday. Among them are those from the 231 Tank Battalion; they are believed to be more trained in quelling uprisings,” a top source confirmed.In a post on his Twitter page on Sunday, Nnamdi Kanu said the siege by the Nigerian Army would not force the IPOB members to back down on the pursuit for actualization of Biafra.He said: “Let this be clear: This unwarranted siege of Biafraland must stop.
