The Accountant General of the Federation Ahmed Idris has recanted his words, noting that the federal government is yet to return the Ibori loot to the Delta State government.
The Accountant General backtracked in a statement from the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) on Wednesday signed by the Director (Information, Press and Public Relations), Henshaw Ogubike.
This comes few hours after Naija News had reported that Idris claimed that the federal government has returned the £4.2 million Ibori loot repatriated from the United Kingdom to the Delta state government.
However, the Delta state government has denied reports that the £4.2 million recovered from former Gov. James Ibori has been returned to the state after which the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) issued a statement on Wednesday
