The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has commenced an investigation of rotational number plates.
Corps Public Education Officer Bisi Kazeem announced the probe in a statement on Tuesday.
This followed a video circulating on social media which showed a vehicle with such a plate.
The SUV with plate no KUJ-304BV carried a presidency registered 01B-266FG on the flipside.
Kazeem said Acting Corps Marshal Dauda Biu has ordered the arrest of the person(s) behind the act.
The spokesman stressed that the FRSC does not produce plates with double features as only one number is assigned to an individual.
The commission recalled issuing a notice warning Nigerians to be wary of vehicles with unauthorised number plates.
“The users are not duly registered and are often with sinister motives”, the statement added
